Grants & Sponsorships

We support programs and initiatives that offer health care providers and patient communities access to educational information on disease awareness, therapeutic management, and scientific advancements in our areas of therapeutic interest.  Funds are awarded to educate broad audiences and may not be used to educate a sole individual.  Examples of the types of funding we support are listed below.

Grants

Independent Medical Education includes educational programs and activities for healthcare professionals provided by independent entities such as hospitals, academic centers, societies/associations or medical education companies, with a goal of improving the management of disease and patient health and safety. Independent Medical Information may be delivered via live presentations, written enduring materials, online courses, and conference symposia from organizations (e.g. hospitals, universities, societies, medical-education companies).

Sponsorships

Organizational Sponsorship Support may be granted to non-healthcare organizations and associations for medical education programs or general non-commercial purposes unrelated to our investigational compounds or products.

Charitable Contributions

Charitable Donations may be awarded to accredited institutions in support of philanthropic or fundraising activities for humanitarian and social programs, scientific education or community awareness.

Rare genetic disorders involving mitochondrial dysfunction

Submission Guidelines

To submit your funding request for consideration, please complete an application and attach a cover letter describing your request with the appropriate supporting documentation such as:

  • Program Agenda/Brochure
  • Detailed Line-Item Budget
  • Signed W-9, W-8 or W-8BEN-E Domestic U.S. Form
  • Needs Assessment
  • Learning Objectives
  • Outcomes Measurement Plan

If your request for IME funding is for an accredited continuing medical education (CME/CE) program, please include a copy of Letter or Certificate of Accreditation.

Requests for funding must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the requested funding start date. In addition to aligning with our areas of therapeutic interest, funded programs must provide value to patients or health care professionals and must be innovative and cost-effective in nature.

Completed submissions that meet our review criteria will be reviewed, considered and evaluated on individual merit relative to other funding requests in accordance with our guidelines and policies.  Please note that we consider a variety of factors when evaluating requests and that previous support does not guarantee future support.  Applicants must fill in all fields as accurately and completely as possible, as incomplete information may result in processing delays.
