Grants & Sponsorship

Stealth BioTherapeutics supports programs and initiatives that offer health care practitioners and patient communities access to educational information on disease awareness, therapeutic management, and scientific advancements.  By providing resources, financial and in-kind support, Stealth BioTherapeutics aims to make a difference in people’s lives.  Funds are awarded to educate broad audiences and may not be used to educate a sole individual. Listed below are the various type of funding which Stealth BioTherapeutics supports.


Independent Medical Education (IME): generally defined as educational programs and activities for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and the public patient population. The goal of such educational programs and activities should be to improve the management of disease and improve patient health and safety. IMEs may be provided to the following:

  • Accredited continuing medical education providers;
  • Hospitals and community health centers;
  • Academic medical centers and medical universities;
  • Professional medical associations and societies;
  • Non-profit institutions who conduct continuing education activities for HCPs that are designed to assist HCPs in carrying out their professional duties and responsibilities; and
  • Non-profit institutions who conduct educating activities to educate the public regarding current health and medical issues.

Patient Education Grants: considered to assist the efforts of patient advocacy organizations representing diseases related to Stealth BioTherapeutics’ therapeutic areas of interest.

Research Grants:  may be awarded for novel endeavors in scientific research developed and sponsored by an independent investigator or academic or institutional sponsor which do not include the use of Stealth BioTherapeutics’ investigational compounds. Research Grants may be provided to research studies which have scientific and medical merit. Such research studies may be clinical or non-clinical in nature.


Organizational Sponsorship Support: may be granted to non-healthcare organizations and associations with programs containing medical education in alignment with Stealth BioTherapeutics’ therapeutic areas of interest for general non-commercial purposes that are not Stealth BioTherapeutics’ investigational compound or product related.

Charitable Contributions

Charitable Donations: may be awarded to accredited institutions in support of philanthropic or fundraising activities focusing on humanitarian and social programs, scientific education, community awareness, or environmental concerns.

Areas of Interest: Stealth BioTherapeutics will accept funding consideration requests within the following disease states:

  • Rare genetic disorders
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Skeletal Muscle Disease
  • Ophthalmic Disorders
  • Neurodegenerative Disorders

Submission Guidelines:  In order to submit your funding request for consideration, you must complete the application and attach a cover letter which includes a description of your request along with the appropriate supporting documentation (as applicable) such as:

  • Program Agenda/Brochure;
  • Detailed Line-Item Budget;
  • Signed W-9, W-8 or W-8BEN-E Domestic U.S. Form;
  • Needs Assessment;
  • Learning Objectives; and
  • Outcomes Measurement Plan.

If your request for IME funding is for an accredited continuing medical education (CME/CE) program, please include a copy of Letter or Certificate of Accreditation.

Requests for funding must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the requested funding start date and in alignment with areas of interest to Stealth BioTherapeutics.  Funded programs must provide value to patients or HCPs and must be innovative and cost-effective in nature.

Completed submissions that meet the review criteria will be reviewed, considered and evaluated on individual merit relative to other funding requests in accordance with Stealth BioTherapeutics guidelines and policies.  Please note that Stealth BioTherapeutics must consider a variety of factors when evaluating requests and that previous support does not guarantee future support.  Applicants must fill in all fields as accurately and completely as possible. Incomplete information may result in processing delays.
